贺广利现任北京金正德书画院副秘书长、中国书画研究社社员、中国诗书画研究院美术研究员等职，国家一级美术师，香港文联美术家协会会员。
60 年代，出生在北京崇文门一户书香门第。他的爷爷兴趣广泛，目爱好绘画与写作，广利自幼便遗传了爷爷艺术方面的基因，爱好文学艺术，特别是在绘画方面，从小就有极高的天赋。八岁开始便习画花鸟及人物。
80 年代初期，开始系统的研习传统的山水画技法。在习画之余，广泛阅读中西哲学书籍及国画理论著作，对传统中国画的创作积累了扎实的理论基础。
1987 年加入中国书画研究社，之后又在中国诗书画研究院学习深造。
历经数十载的艰苦跋涉，矢志追求，笔耕不辍。后遍访名家，虚心求教。先后得到吴铎，王文芳、胡振昆，龙瑞等诸位大家的言传身教，悉心指导，受益良多。其间有不少优秀作品获奖并被国内外机构和个人广泛收藏。
后经友人引荐受教干宗其香，李可染大师的入室弟子著名书画大师李成杰先生，继续努力提高传统山水画的研究和创作。经常追随师父一起游历名山大川，采风写生，通过长期的创作实践，对传统山水画有了更深入的理解，在创作上又有了更高层次的追求。通过对传统山水画的长期临墓，深刻领会了古人对干山水画技法的理解和把握，在山水画创作中对线条的运用和对意境的把握都达到了极高的水平。体现在当下的山水画创作上，特别注重对于水墨的运用，力求达到墨色晕染，别开生面的艺术效果。
广利先生的山水画，在尊重古人审美和古代技法基础上，寻求突破与创新，力求描绘出新时代的气息与风貌，所绘山水沟壑纵横，万水千山，大气磅礴，烟云氤氲，云蒸霞蔚，水墨宣染，自出新意。
He Guangli is currently the Deputy Secretary General of Beijing Jin Zhengdecalligraphy and Painting Institute, a member of the Chinese calligraphy and painting research society, an art researcher of the Chinese poetry,calligraphy and Painting Research Institute,a national first-class artist, and a member of the Artists Association of the Hong Kong Federation of literary and Art Circles.
In the 1960s, he was born into a scholarly family in Chongwenmen, Beijing. His grandfather has a wide range of interests,and he is fond of painting and writing. Guangli inherited his grandfather's artistic genes from childhood, and he loves literature and art, especially in painting. He has a very high talent since childhood. At the age of eight, he began to draw flowers, birds and figures.
In the early 1980s, he began to systematically study the traditional landscape painting techniques. In addition to studying painting, he extensively read Chinese and western philosophy books and Chinese painting theory works, and accumulated a solid theoretical foundationfor the creation of traditional Chinese painting.
In 1987, he joined the Chinese calligraphy and painting research society, and then studied in the Chinese poetry, calligraphy and Painting Research Institute.
After decades of arduous trek, he is determined to pursue and write. After that,he visited famous scholars and asked for advice with an open mind. He has been taught by Wu Duo, Wang Wenfang, Hu Zhenkun, Long Rui and others, and has benefited a lot. During this period, many excellent works won awards and were widely collected by institutions and individuals at home and abroad.
Later, he was recommended by friends to be taught by Gan Zong Qixiang. The famous calligraphy and painting master Li Chengjie, the disciple of Master Li Keran,continued to strive to improve the research and creation of traditional landscape painting. I often follow my master to travel around famous mountains and rivers, collect wind and draw from life.
Through long-term creative practice, I have a deeper understanding of traditional landscape painting and a higher level of pursuit in creation. Through the long-term visit to the tomb of traditional landscape painting, we have deeply understood the ancient people's understanding and grasp of the techniques of dry landscape painting. In the creation of landscape painting, the use of lines and the grasp of artistic conception have reached a very high level. Reflected in the current landscape painting creation, special attention is paid to the use of water and ink, and efforts are made to achieve the artistic effect of ink color halo.
Mr. Guangli's landscape paintings seek breakthroughs and innovations on the basis of respecting the ancient aesthetics and ancient techniques, and strive to depict the breath and style of the new era. The landscapes and gullies painted by him are vertical and horizontal, thousands of rivers and mountains, majestic, denseclouds and clouds, clouds and clouds, ink and wash, and new ideas.
